After my youngest daughter was divorced, she tried to buy her own new construction home directly going to the builder’s Model Home. However, nobody advised her to hire a REALTOR®. She already deposited her earnest money when I found out. Though I still insisted to her to hire a real estate agent, she went ahead just dealing with a builder's salesperson. Being a buyer she was never represented and should have been taken cared of diligently with her investment. Because of that she lost a 5 figure amount of money. I was devastated. Hence I decided to study real estate and got my license.

During my studies with real estate, memories of our own experience when we bought our newly constructed home in 1995 came to view. My husband and I moved to the DFW area from West Texas. We didn’t know any better. We saw a new community being developed and we went directly to the Model Home not represented by a real estate agent. We chose our plan, signed the contract, gave the down payment and the builder started building. There was no explanation of all the steps during the process of construction. We didn’t have a walk through to check if all are done correctly. In those months of process, we put our home into the hands of the builder.

When we moved in, there was no final walk-through, no testing of the appliances, explanation of warranty, etc. Few months after living in a brand new home, we had problems with the toilet upstairs not flushing and dishwashing machine not working. My new neighbor who moved to our area, had the same difficulty. We didn’t know what to do as there was no education and representation from a REALTOR® who should have diligently worked with us during and after the building process.

These 2 experiences really made me think to study real estate. I will never let anyone suffer what we went through as there were trust and money involved. I am a retired ICU RN who believe in helping people. I have been on sales since 1996. Being a REALTOR® now I am taking good care of people in their biggest investment – their home.

You can hire me and I will work diligently to make sure that you will not go through what my daughter and we went through. I will take good care of you just as how I took good care of my patients in ICU - with understanding, compassion, duty, integrity and honesty.
