About Cavender HomesWhen asked what sets Cavender Homes apart, the first thing that comes to mind is family. Starting with the father-son duo behind the home builder business, Gary and Alex Cavender. Cavender Homes was born out of a passion that both father and son have for creating uniquely affordable, quality homes that go beyond what traditional single-family homes typically afford. With deep experience across all aspects of the home building process and a strong financial background, Gary and Alex set out to build a product that truly considers what every home buyer wants most, sustainability and affordability. Together they have created an energy efficient, Samsung powered state-of-the-art smart home that is not only designed to minimize the home’s carbon foot print, but also includes the high-tech features today’s busy home buyers expect to make their lives easier. And most importantly, every Cavender Home is designed to be a high quality, yet affordable home that can be passed on from generation to generation. Gary Cavender, President, began his career in the home builder business more than 25 years ago, delving into every facet of the home building process throughout that time, including land purchase, land development, construction and finance, he has truly done it all. It is that deep knowledge of the home buying experience that has helped guide the organization to develop a simple, transparent and honest home building process for its home buyers. Alex Cavender, Vice President-Construction, brings a wealth of operational experience to the Cavender Homes organization, having managed divisions in Dallas and Houston for (2) major national REIT’s, (Real Estate Investment Trusts). Also, Alex was regional manager over several states for a major construction company.
