Buying a new construction home can look simple, but there are important decisions involving builders, communities, incentives, financing, contracts, upgrades and inspections.

Builder pricing and buyer-agent compensation are separate matters, and policies vary by builder. I’ll explain representation and compensation before you move forward so you know exactly how it works.

One important tip: contact me before you register online or visit a builder for the first time. Some builders have specific requirements regarding Realtor representation, and waiting until after your first contact can limit your options.

I personally visit new-home communities throughout the Charlotte and Lake Norman area and create video tours to help buyers see what different builders and neighborhoods have to offer.
