About James Roberts

I was born in Washington, DC, and prior to moving to North Myrtle Beach in June of 2013 lived all of my life, except for one year on Long Island, in the Baltimore-Washington area. I was the starting point guard for a very good high school basketball team. I was named most humorous in my senior class. I earned a journalism degree from the University of Maryland. I worked 13 years in the newspaper business as a proofreader, layout editor, copy editor, managing editor and newspaper owner. For 8 of those years I worked for The Wall Street Journal. I have 38 years of sales experience and have always looked out for the best interests of my customers. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 1972 and we have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I joined Realty ONE Group Dockside in May of 2025.
